Recap by phillip woo
Firming to jump the $1.45 favourite, Beauty Eternal won well after getting all the favours, chasing the leading pair one off the fence with cover. He has posted six wins and three placings in his sterling first campaign. He has a very bright future. Circuit Stellar found one too smart after narrowly claiming the lead from Beluga 200m out following his pace-prompting run on the fence. He is honest as the day is long. Beauty Joy ran on nicely after his prominent run on the rail to just miss second prize money. It was another good effort but the big weight was the difference in the end. Fantastic Treasure came from last and down the outside to narrowly miss a placing. It was another honest effort despite his rise in class. Beluga knocked up over the last 100m after leading one off the fence without cover all the way from gate five in the six-runner contest. He is better ridden patiently. Tourbillon Diamond showed nothing after making his run one from the rear. He has lost interest in his past few runs.
