Racing Incident Report
Race Eleven: (750) - MOUNT NICHOLSON HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
GLOBAL HARMONY began only fairly.
PRIVATE ROCKET and YOUNG LIFE FOREVER brushed on jumping.
EXCELLENT DADDY and BEAUTY MISSION bumped at the start.
On jumping, STAR BRITE shifted out and brushed STORM LEGEND.
After this, from wide barriers, STAR BRITE and STORM LEGEND were shifted across behind runners.
Shortly after the start, POWER KOEPP shifted out and bumped MAGIC SUPREME.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, GLOBAL HARMONY and STAR BRITE bumped.
STORM LEGEND, which was racing outside STAR BRITE, was inconvenienced in consequence.
Approaching the turn near the 900 Metres, BEAUTY MISSION and POWER KOEPP raced tight.
After this, POWER KOEPP was left racing very wide and without cover.
Also throughout the race, MERCURIAL travelled wide and without cover.
BEAUTY MISSION had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
Approaching the 300 Metres, GLOBAL HARMONY was awkwardly placed behind EXCELLENT DADDY which itself was racing tight inside the heels of PRIVATE ROCKET.
After being shifted to the inside of EXCELLENT DADDY near the 250 Metres, GLOBAL HARMONY was then badly held up for clear running until passing the 100 Metres.
Approaching the 200 Metres, EXCELLENT DADDY again raced tight inside the heels of PRIVATE ROCKET which shifted in marginally.
Passing the 100 Metres, STORM LEGEND was bumped by BEAUTY MISSION which improved into tight running between STORM LEGEND and POWER KOEPP.
Close to the finishing line, IMPERIAL MAGEE, which was closing the race off, was checked when unable to improve between MAGIC SUPREME and GLOBAL HARMONY which became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by IMPERIAL MAGEE.
Also close to the finishing line, MERCURIAL was checked away from the heels of EXCELLENT DADDY.
Because of this, MERCURIAL was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
A veterinary inspection of STAR BRITE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BEAUTY MISSION, EXCELLENT DADDY and PRIVATE ROCKET were sent for sampling.
GENERAL:
1.
Trainer P F Yiu was fined $3,000 for working a horse on the 1800 Metre grass gallop on Thursday, 9 June 2022 when restrictions applied to the use of that training facility on that day.
2.
Addition to Racing Incidents Report of 8 June 2022 Happy Valley Racemeeting - Race 9 (739) Over the concluding stages, KILLER INSTINCT was awkwardly placed behind DROPS OF GOD.
Because of this, KILLER INSTINCT was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.

Racing Laboratory tests of SWOT TROOPERS WIND, SUNNY DELIGHT, SHANGHAI POWER, SUNNY AND GOLD, TREASURE OF FIELD, LUCKY MISSILE, E LEGEND, BLISSFUL STAR, LORIZ, SHADOW RUNNER, HERO STAR, PLEASANT ENDEAVOR, TAKE WHAT YOU NEED, NEARLY FINE, PACKING AWARD, PRIME MINISTER, GORGEOUS VITALITY, YELLOWFIN, RISING FROM ASHES, SUPER MISSION, WIN WIN FIGHTER, DR WINNING and NIMBLE NIMBUS (1.6.22) proved negative.

Excellent Daddy just got up 60m out after saving ground in midfield for a deserving second win from 12 starts. He relished a return to a tongue-tie. Private Rocket found one just too good after working to the lead 100m out following a box-seat run. He's honest. Power Koepp edged Beauty Mission to finish a close third after making his run four-wide without cover in midfield from a wide draw. He clearly has the tools to add to a win two back over the straight 1,000m. Post-time favourite Beauty Mission ran on nicely three from the right to just miss a placing after a one-off trip behind midfield. He keeps promising without delivering. Specked late Mercurial came up one-paced after a prominent run wide without cover. He had an excuse. Newcomer Global Harmony was all dressed up with nowhere to go travelling fourth last along the inside as the early favourite. He should have finished in the mix with unimpeded running. Magic Supreme knocked up 100m out after quickly finding the front from gate 12. Imperial Magee took a while to wind up from the rear but hit the jets 100m out before running into traffic in the dying stages.
