The well-backed Sunny And Gold never went around a horse to get up 150m out after a prominent run along the fence from gate three for a first win at his 19th start. The win was well deserved after filling the frame in seven of nine other starts this term. Treasure Of Field stayed on well to take second 50m out after easing out of a speed duel to sit one-off in third. He's made a good impression twice over this Valley trip from his past three starts. Vector ran on well for third after peeling out for a clear run 100m out following a rails run in midfield. He's been racing well of late but will need to win to save his career. Favourite Shanghai Power worked too hard in the early stages, which cost him in the run to the wire after a pace-pressing role. M M Johnny ran on to pick up a minor cheque without menacing the top four after being ridden last from a wide draw. It wasn't a bad run. E Honey ran on without menacing down the outside after travelling deep towards the rear. He has looked off his game in his past few starts. Viva Chef only plodded after a one-off trip better than midfield. He has been disappointing this term. Carry The Diamond struggled in the run to the wire after a wide run without cover in midfield.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (713) - STUBBS HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1000Meters

SUNNY AND GOLD began only fairly and then shifted out towards the heels of VIVA CHEF.

VECTOR began awkwardly and then was bumped by TREASURE OF FIELD which shifted out.

EUROMISSILE shifted out at the start and brushed M M JOHNNY.

After this, from wide barriers, EUROMISSILE and M M JOHNNY were both shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

E HONEY began awkwardly and shifted out shortly after the start and bumped CARRY THE DIAMOND.

Near the 600 Metres, CARRY THE DIAMOND was left racing wide and without cover and passing the 500 Metres got its head on the side and lay out.

Making the turn near the 600 Metres, FORTUNE HAPPINESS brushed the running rail.

After the 250 Metres, VECTOR was awkwardly placed behind SHANGHAI POWER when attempting to shift to the outside of that horse to improve between SHANGHAI POWER and TREASURE OF FIELD.

As VECTOR was being shifted out, SHANGHAI POWER shifted out marginally passing the 200 Metres which resulted in VECTOR being disappointed for running and being checked away from the heels of TREASURE OF FIELD when being directed to the outside of that horse to obtain clear running.

TREASURE OF FIELD lost its right hind plate passing the 200 Metres.

SHANGHAI POWER, SUNNY AND GOLD and TREASURE OF FIELD were sent for sampling.

<2/6/2022 Additional Veterinary Reports>The Veterinary Surgeon reported that TREASURE OF FIELD was lame in its left front leg on the afternoon after racing.

Before being allowed to race again, TREASURE OF FIELD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
