Racing Incident Report
Race Two: (683) - MAKARPURA STAR HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
When in the sand yard prior to proceeding to the saddling stalls, JACK WIN came loose from its handler.
After being recaptured, JACK WIN was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.
On arrival at the Start, H Bentley was dislodged from HAPPY SOUL without incident.
After arriving at the barriers, A Badel expressed concern regarding the action of BELLA BABY.
BELLA BABY was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was lame in the left front leg and accordingly was not suitable to race.
Acting on this advice, BELLA BABY was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, BELLA BABY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
GREAT FOR YOU began awkwardly.
BUNDLE OF CHARM shifted in at the start and bumped HAPPY SOUL which in turn shifted in and bumped ALL IS GOOD.
After this, HAPPY SOUL was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
When being steadied to obtain cover, HAPPY SOUL got its head up and raced ungenerously approaching the 1000 Metres.
STAND UP began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped PRIDE OF DRAGON.
After this, from the outside barrier, STAND UP was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
After also being steadied in the early stages from a wide barrier, PRIDE OF DRAGON travelled wide and without cover throughout the race.
Also from a wide barrier, JACK WIN was shifted across behind runners.
AEROVERSARY began awkwardly and then for a considerable distance in the early stages got its head up when proving very difficult to settle.
Then passing the 1150 Metres, AEROVERSARY, which was racing ungenerously, shifted in and bumped VICTORY SCHOLARS which became unbalanced.
Despite being vigorously ridden along for a considerable distance in the early stages, TRUST ME was slow to muster speed and then passing the 1000 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.
Passing the 700 Metres, ALL IS GOOD shifted in and inconvenienced EASY SNIP.
VICTORY SCHOLARS had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.
REGENT GLORY lay in under pressure in the early part of the Straight.
After the 400 Metres, DOUBLE SHOW was shifted out a number of horses to obtain clear running.
In the Straight, EASY SNIP lay in under pressure.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on HAPPY SOUL at the request of Trainer C S Shum.
The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY SOUL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Also after the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on EASY SNIP at the request of Trainer T P Yung.
The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.
A veterinary inspection of GREAT FOR YOU and JACK WIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BUNDLE OF CHARM and VICTORY SCHOLARS were sent for sampling.

Bundle Of Charm kept up a good gallop after surging to the lead 250m out following a one-out, one-back run for a nice debut win. It was quite professional and he's got a bright future ahead of him. Favourite Victory Scholars kept grinding away after a prominent run underneath the winner to just edge Regent Glory for second. He's honest but isn't a prolific winner and the big weight didn't help. Regent Glory stuck on well after stalking the leader Great For You from a wide draw. He's lightly-raced but is heading in the right direction. Double Show came from midfield ran on steadily to take fourth after a rails run in midfield. He can bob up at any moment after giving a better performance in his past two of four starts. All Is Good was doing his best work late to finish next best without menacing the top four after a wide-with-cover run behind midfield. Easy Snip worked home fairly after biding his time fourth last. It was a better effort.
