Racing Incident Report
Race Nine: (565) - DES VOEUX HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
STAR BRITE shifted out on jumping and inconvenienced RIVER VIEWS.
From the outside barrier, SKY FOREVER and FAULDS were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
LYRICAL MOTION was steadied on jumping to obtain cover.
LUCKY ARCHANGEL was also steadied from a wide barrier and shifted across behind runners shortly after the start, however, was left racing very wide and without cover making the turn after the 1000 Metres.
TRANSCENDENT also travelled wide and without cover throughout.
STOICISM lost its right front plate passing the 1000 Metres.
Making the turn near the 550 Metres, TRUST ME was awkwardly placed close to the heels of STOICISM.
Passing the 400 Metres, STAR BRITE was steadied away from the heels of WINE AND WINE.
Passing the 250 Metres, WILD WEST WING was momentarily awkwardly placed outside the heels of WINE AND WINE which shifted out.
After the race, C L Chau (TRUST ME) reported that on jumping his saddle shifted backwards, placing him at a disadvantage throughout the race.
A veterinary inspection of LUCKY ARCHANGEL and WILD WEST WING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
STAR BRITE and WINE AND WINE were sent for sampling.

Racing Laboratory tests of FLYING SEASON, FORTE, LIGHT MY DAY, GO GO SIXTEEN, DAILY CHARM, BEAUTY FIT, MY SUGAR, C P BRAVE, ROBOT WARRIOR, RED ELYSEES, CAMPIONE, BEAUTY MISSION, COUNTRY TREASURE, FUN N GLORY, CALIFORNIA VANES, COPARTNER AMBITION, SUPER DYNAMITE, SUPER WINNER, INFINITY WIN, MAXIMIZE HEART, NATURAL GOLD, ORIENTAL SMOKE, MY ECSTATIC, MY INTELLIGENT, BEAUTY LIVE and SHINING GEM (27.3.22) proved negative.

Firming favourite Star Brite kept on gamely for a narrow win after claiming the lead from Wine And Wine 200m out following a perfect run on the leader's back from gate one. The win was overdue after knocking on the door in five of six starts. Wine And Wine wouldn't go down without a fight after turning the final bend a length on top after setting slow fractions from gate five. He can get away with a race shortly after placing in his past three starts. Flaming Passion stayed on a non-threatening third after getting every chance in the one-one. He's as honest as the day is long but keeps finding one or two too smart at this level. Lyrical Motion rallied well to fill the frame after a patient ride third last from a tricky gate. He appreciated the extra 200m and is close to a win. Stoicism was rather one-paced after a one-off run in midfield. He's still to put his best foot forward in his four runs following a stable change. Sky Forever ran on without menacing widest out from the rear of the field. The combination of a wide draw and slow pace worked against him. Lucky Archangel ran on reasonably well despite getting posted three-to-four wide without cover towards the rear from a wide draw. He had an excuse.
