Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (390) - RED PACKET HANDICAP - Class 4 - 2000Meters
BIG BROOK was withdrawn on 2.2.22 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter AGILITY STAR (M F Poon).
STRATHMORETOO was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever).
Before being allowed to race again, BIG BROOK and STRATHMORETOO will both be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
AGILITY STAR shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of ROBOT WARRIOR.
STAR OF GLORY was crowded for room shortly after the start between MISTER MONTE and AMAZING TEENS which began awkwardly and shifted out.
FLYING MIGHTY and CHAMPION PAL bumped on jumping.
After this, despite being ridden along, CHAMPION PAL failed to muster speed.
From the outside barriers, NATURAL STORM, STIMULATION and NEW FUTURE were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
MISTER MONTE travelled wide and without cover until passing the 1100 Metres at which time LEGION OF MERIT was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 900 Metres, FLYING MIGHTY shifted in and bumped VICTORIOUS SEEKER.
Near the 350 Metres, ROBOT WARRIOR shifted out and brushed MISTER MONTE.
Passing the 250 Metres, STAR OF GLORY got its head on the side and shifted out.
STAR OF GLORY again lay out after the 200 Metres, resulting in FLYING MIGHTY being shifted out away from the heels of that horse and bumping CHAMPION PAL.
A veterinary inspection of AMAZING TEENS, LEGION OF MERIT and MISTER MONTE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SUPER HONG KONG and ROBOT WARRIOR were sent for sampling.

Firming favourite Super Hong Kong got up 150m out for the win after being asked for more 700m out following a one-off run better than midfield. He was able to build on a win two back over the Valley 1,800m at his initial run over the 2,000m. The well-backed Robot Warrior just held on for second after shooting to a narrow lead 200m out following a box-seat run from a good draw. It was a fine effort. Champion Pal ran on well to fill a placing after making his run five back and one off the fence. He's building towards a win. Specked late, Flying Mighty just got up for fourth after a wide run with cover beyond midfield. It was clearly his best run in a long while. Victorious Seeker lost a placing in the dying stages after moving to third 100m out following a one-off run with cover behind midfield. He's on his mark after a win in November over this trip. Natural Storm got going late without menacing from towards the rear. He's still finding his legs at just his third start. Legion Of Merit was plodding 100m out after working to the lead 350m out following a wide run without cover better than midfield from an outside draw.
