Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (806) - THE CHOW SILVER PLATE (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1600Meters
On arrival at the Start, H T Mo expressed concern regarding the action of BEAUTY DAY.
A veterinary examination of BEAUTY DAY was not able to detect any significant findings.
As H T Mo was not willing to ride BEAUTY DAY due to the horse not being comfortable in its action, BEAUTY DAY was withdrawn from the race by order of the Stewards.
Before being allowed to race again, BEAUTY DAY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
CHAMPION SUPREME was slow to begin.
CHAMPION PAL shifted in at the start and bumped the hindquarters of HELENE ALLIBOR.
After this, from a wide barrier, CHAMPION PAL was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
A short distance after the start, CHARGE ON was steadied away from the heels of GAMEPLAYER TIMES (C Y Ho) which shifted in when not properly clear.
C Y Ho was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
For some distance in the early stages, HALL OF CHAMP was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ALL FOR ST PAUL'S when attempting to improve to the inside of that horse where there was insufficient room.
Approaching the 550 Metres, CHAMPION SUPREME was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BEAUTY FIT after being ridden along in an attempt to improve inside that horse.
After the 400 Metres, CHAMPION SUPREME was awkwardly placed behind GAMEPLAYER TIMES when being shifted to the outside of that horse to obtain clear running.
GAMEPLAYER TIMES lay out rounding the Home Turn.
C P BRAVE lay in under pressure approaching and passing the 200 Metres.
Throughout the race, SOULMATE travelled wide and without cover.
The performance of CAPTAIN TIGER, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, CAPTAIN TIGER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of CAPTAIN TIGER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
After the race, R Maia stated that after being shifted across behind runners in the early stages, CALIFORNIA TEN did not travel strongly at any stage.
He said he rode the horse along after the 800 Metres in an attempt to have it improve its position and CALIFORNIA TEN was reluctant to improve and then in the Straight failed to finish off the race.
A veterinary inspection of CALIFORNIA TEN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HALL OF CHAMP, BEAUTY FIT and C P BRAVE were sent for sampling.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Sha Tin Racemeeting on 1 July 2021 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of JOY MASTER, DIAMOND STAR, ONE STEP AHEAD, TELECOM MISSILE, VOYAGE STAR, STREET SCREAM, MY ECSTATIC, SUMMIT CHEERS, INFINITY WIN, EXCELLENT CHARIOT, GREAT HARVEST, STUNNING IMPACT, DRAGON COMMANDER, TAILOR MADE, LOOKING GREAT, SUPER FOOTBALL, FLYING QUEST, SPEED FAY FAY, ULTIMATE GLORY, JADE PHOENIX, SPEEDY MOUSE, BIG FORTUNE, THE GOLDEN SCENERY, FIRST RESPONDER and GOOD VIEW CLARICO revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of SKY TREASURE, FALCON TURBO, SHANGHAI POWER, SPICY GRILL, LUCKY MARYKNOLL, WHISKEY NEAT, WILD WEST WING, SUPER COMMANDER, GREEN LUCK, HIGHLAND FORTUNE, NOBLE DESIRE, BEAUTY CHEERS, FA FA, ERNEST FEELING, FAMILY FOLKS, JOLLY GOOD HEART, HONG KONG BET, TELECOM FIGHTERS, EXCEPTIONAL NICE, HERE COMES TED, CLASSIC POSH and DECISIVE TWELVE (23.6.21) proved negative.

Beauty Fit just held off C P Brave after surging to the front 200m out following a rails run behind midfield to ring up a second win over this trip from his past four starts. He'll find it harder next time. C P Brave just failed to get up for the win after settling just outside the winner in the run. He's made a good impression in his three starts and will break through shortly. Soulmate kept on well for a placing after working to the front 300m out following a deep run chasing the speed from a wide gate. It was a vastly-improved effort with the tongue-tie removed. All For St Paul's ended up fourth best after going for home on top 450m sitting just outside the surprise leader Heavenly Thought. He's at his best when allowed to get his own way in front. Favourite Hall Of Champ was blocked for a good part of the straight after a one-out, one-back run. He had an excuse but do think he's more effective over the 1,400m. Gameplayer Times ran on steadily without menacing after a one-off run better than midfield. Wait for a downgrade and return to the dirt. Charge On never landed a blow travelling midfield on the fence. He was in a higher grade but his rider Derek Leung Ka-chun hasn't been riding with much confidence of late.
