Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (611) - QUEEN'S ROAD CENTRAL HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
H Z TOURBILLON shifted in at the start, resulting in MOST WELCOME being crowded for room and taken in onto MERIDIAN GENIUS which became badly unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by MOST WELCOME.
On jumping, HERCULES was steadied to obtain cover.
Shortly after the start, CAPITAL STAR shifted out and hampered MIG ENERGY and NOBLE STEED.
From a wide barrier, WINSTON'S LAD was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn near the 1000 Metres, H Z TOURBILLON travelled keenly when being steadied to obtain cover behind ALCARI.
After the 900 Metres, PING HAI GALAXY commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of CAPITAL STAR.
MIG ENERGY, which was following PING HAI GALAXY, was checked away from the heels of that horse and shifted away from the heels of PING HAI GALAXY, resulting in MOST WELCOME and NOBLE STEED being hampered in consequence.
A veterinary inspection of HERCULES immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
THE RUNNER and CAPITAL STAR were sent for sampling.

The Runner found his second wind 100m out tracking the speed to overhaul favourite Capital Star 50m out for a first win this season. Capital Star found one too good after getting his own way in front. It was still a good effort carrying top weight but a drop to the 1,000m might suit him better. H Z Tourbillon ran on well after settling one off in midfield to fill a placing. It was a good run third up and first in the grade following a win. Ping Hai Galaxy plugged on all right following a box-seat run. It was a positive performance in his first start since October. Mig Energy got going late near the inside to just miss the frame after settling midfield on the fence. He's been disappointing more than not after a win in November. Noble Steed ran on without menacing after saving ground behind midfield. Age is getting the better of him and he's better suited over a longer trip. Alcari came up empty after settling one-out, one-back in the run. He's never easy to get right. Hercules never fired a shot travelling towards the rear. It was an out-of-character effort after placing in two of three prior starts.
