Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (599) - CUMBERLAND HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
HARMONY SPIRIT shifted out at the start and bumped SINCERE BOY.
GOLFMAN STAR began very awkwardly and bumped the inside of its gate on jumping.
GOLFMAN STAR was then bumped by GUNNISON shortly after the start.
Passing the 800 Metres, HARMONY SPIRIT raced tight inside LOYAL BABY which got its head on the side and lay in away from MAN STAR.
LOYAL BABY raced tight inside MAN STAR near the 600 Metres.
Passing the 150 Metres, GOLFMAN STAR momentarily raced in restricted room inside SKY SHOW which got its head on the side and shifted in before being corrected by its rider.
For the majority of the race, NAMJONG SINGS travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, Z Purton (GOLFMAN STAR) reported that after having to ride his mount along in the early stages to obtain a forward position, GOLFMAN STAR did not travel strongly at any stage of the race.
He said GOLFMAN STAR was always off the bridle and was never able to travel comfortably.
He said GOLFMAN STAR then came under pressure rounding the Home Turn and did not finish off the race.
He added he recommended to connections that they consider adding blinkers to the gear of GOLFMAN STAR in its future starts having regard to the manner in which it failed to travel today.
A veterinary inspection of GOLFMAN STAR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of LOYAL BABY and SINCERE BOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FLYING BONUS and SKY SHOW were sent for sampling.

Punted late, Flying Bonus led and just held off the late surge of favourite Sky Show for a second win from his past three starts on this surface. He was perfectly rated and the claimer's allowance made the difference in the end. Sky Show just failed to get up slotting one off in fourth after getting caught deep without cover early on from a wide draw. He's a winner waiting to happen. Harmony Spirit just got up late to edge out Man Star for third after settling four back on the fence. He's starting to get the hang of things now and can bob up at any moment. Man Star ran on steadily to just miss a placing after a one-off run fore of midfield. It was another honest effort but he may be on or near his mark. Utopia Life came up one-paced over the final 60m after looming at least a place hope 150m out following a prominent run on the fence. He's not far off a bottom. Namjong Sings made only a mild bid after a wide run in midfield from an outside draw. He had an excuse but is more effective on the turf. Golfman Star was gassed 100m out after working hard to sit outside the leader 800m out from an awkward gate.
