Recap by phillip woo
All For St Paul's ran down post-time favourite Elite Patch in deep stretch for the win after handing up the lead to chase Ping Hai Treasure from the 1,200m. He made it four wins this season despite a rise in class and switch to the dirt. Elite Patch did everything but get the win after surging to the lead 250m out following a box-seat run. The weight swing of 10 pounds between him and the winner was likely the difference in the end. Tangmere ran on well from near last to fill a placing. He was in good form off a last-start win and did place three back over this same course and distance. Awe ran on steadily to fill the frame after a rails run worse than midfield following a tardy break. He rarely produces a bad run without threatening on a win line at this level but will be a force to be reckoned with shortly in Class Four. Party Everyday stayed on without menacing following a one-off run in midfield. He does appear from his past few starts to be on his mark. Early favourite Ping Hai Treasure knocked up 100m out after clearing to the lead 1,200m out from a wide gate. He's been surprisingly weak at the finish.
