Recap by phillip woo
Well-backed late Family Leader rallied nicely to take control approaching the 100m travelling one-off the fence in midfield. He's capable on his day and goes well fresh. Starship finished nicely to overhaul favourite Regency Master 50m out for second after peeling out for a clear run at the 200m following a rail run behind midfield. He's not genuine but always a chance over this trip at this level. Regency Master kept on one-paced when asked for an effort in the drive travelling effectively one-out, one-back after handing up the lead 1,150m out. He's still learning the ropes but clearly has ability. Happy Win Win should have finished closer if not held up behind the tiring leaders Wonder Express and Apex Top until the 100m following a prominent run on the fence. He's not far off a bottom and would look a live chance with Class Five looming large. Management Star closed well after bombing the start. He'd clearly be winning races if he can jump on terms.
