Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (725) - FU TAI HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
STORM WARNINGS was checked on jumping when crowded for room between REFINED TREASURE and KING'S EMINENCE which shifted out abruptly.
CZARSON shifted out at the start and bumped CALIFORNIA ARCHER.
Near the 50 Metres, TOTAL EXCESS was momentarily awkwardly placed outside the heels of WAR OF COURAGE.
For the majority of the race, TOTAL EXCESS raced with its head on the side and lay in.
After the race, K Teetan reported that he was unable to explain the disappointing performance of CALIFORNIA ARCHER which he said did not travel as strongly at any stage of the race as it had when ridden by him previously.
A veterinary inspection of CALIFORNIA ARCHER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Also after the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that REFINED TREASURE was lame in its right front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, REFINED TREASURE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
BALTIC WHISPER and WAR OF COURAGE were sent for sampling.

Baltic Whisper dived late on the stands side from midfield to snatch victory from favourite War Of Courage by a lip. He was well rated after dropping three points below a trip success in January and took full advantage of the claimer's allowance. War Of Courage did everything right but get the win after surging to the front 100m out following a speedchasing run. Explosive Witness knocked up late after hitting the front 300m out travelling near the speed on the stand side. He's honest but has trouble winning. Take What You Need kept grinding away to finish a non-threatening fourth after making his run fore of midfield. Like the latter, he has been consistent without winning. Newcomer Storm Warnings kept on all right despite a tendency to tilt his head following a handy run in the middle of the course. Another debutant Total Excess was yielding ground 150m out after jumping alertly to lead from an outside gate. He needed the outing.
