Favourite Rich And Lucky was too good after a perfectly-rated run in front to ring up a second win from seven starts at his first Valley runs. He has the tools to hold his own in Class Three off a light weight. Dionysus Collin closed well from midfield after peeling into the open 250m out to grab second 150m out. He continues to race very well without winning. Big Bang Bong just held on for third with every chance in the box-seat. The big weight was too much to overcome in his first Class Four start. Go Ballistic rallied well two from the right from behind midfield to just miss a placing. It was a positive first effort at the Valley and he doesn't seem to be far off a bottom. Royal Racer had every chance following a prominent run with cover. He's limited. King's Man got going late near the inside after making his run fourth from the back. He's more effective at 1,800m nowadays. Plunged late Victory Mastery was stopping 150m out after stalking the speed.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (633) - LOTUS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters

SWOT TROOPERS WIND was withdrawn on 5.5.20 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter VICTORY MASTERY (K C Leung).

Before being allowed to race again, SWOT TROOPERS WIND will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

DIONYSUS COLLIN began awkwardly.

GO BALLISTIC shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of RICH AND LUCKY which became unbalanced.

From a wide barrier, SPEED FORCE was shifted across behind runners shortly after the start.

Passing the 300 Metres, DIONYSUS COLLIN was shifted out away from the heels of BIG BANG BONG and VICTORY MASTERY to obtain clear running.

Passing the 250 Metres, GO BALLISTIC raced close to the heels of ROYAL RACER when being shifted to the outside of that horse to obtain clear running.

Throughout the race, FLAME LILY travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of FLAME LILY and VICTORY MASTERY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

RICH AND LUCKY and DIONYSUS COLLIN were sent for sampling.
