Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (606) - THE CHAIRMAN'S SPRINT PRIZE - Class G1 - 1200Meters
WISHFUL THINKER was crowded for room on jumping between JOLLY BANNER and AETHERO, both of which shifted ground.
VOYAGE WARRIOR shifted in at the start and bumped BIG TIME BABY.
D B PIN began only fairly.
From the outside barrier, THANKS FOREVER was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Passing the 900 Metres, BIG TIME BABY was shifted out away from the heels of MR STUNNING which was racing tight outside BIG PARTY.
After the 800 Metres, BIG TIME BABY was left racing wide and without cover.
In the early part of the Straight, AETHERO gave ground and was eased out of the race passing the 300 Metres.
A veterinary inspection of AETHERO immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
When AETHERO commenced to give ground, JOLLY BANNER was shifted out away from the heels of that horse approaching the 300 Metres and passing the 300 Metres raced tight with WISHFUL THINKER.
Near the 250 Metres, WISHFUL THINKER became unbalanced after being crowded for room between HOT KING PRAWN which shifted out and MR STUNNING (K Teetan) which was directed to the inside of VOYAGE WARRIOR.
K Teetan was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
AETHERO, MR STUNNING and BIG TIME BABY were sent for sampling.

Veteran Mr Stunning came on nicely to take control passing the 50m after a one-off run in midfield to ring up a remarkable 12th win in his career. He had everything fall into place on this occasion after filling the frame in two prior starts against similar rivals. Big Time Baby stuck on gamely to get the head down for second after a wide and without cover run in midfield to continue his sensational form this season. Well-backed late Thanks Forever came up just short after rushing to a narrow lead 150m out with his move down the outside from the rear of the field. Hot King Prawn had his chance following a box-seat run. It was another honest effort but found a few too good on this occasion. Wishful Thinker got going late without menacing from towards the rear. He's a smart sprinter but just not good enough at this level. Voyage Warrior faded 100m out after hitting the front following a breeze-punching run from the widest gate.
