In a three-horse thriller, outsider King's Man got up in the nick of time down the outside to just deny God Of Dragon after a patient ride fourth from the rear from a wide gate. God Of Dragon made it close on the wire following a one-off run in midfield. A first win isn't far away after producing a better sight in his past two starts. Blastoise was swamped in the last stride after setting moderate fractions in front carrying top weight. He's racing well and remains one to follow. Punted late London Hall finished just behind the top three after being held up for a run until near the 200m following a rail run worse than midfield. C P Power came up one-paced following a one-out, one-back run. He found a few too smart on this occasion. Above was yielding ground 150m out after sitting outside the leader from the widest gate. He needs to catch his breath after two wins. Plunged late Little General had little left over the last 100m after a torrid run in midfield.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (270) - KWU TUNG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1800Meters

LONDON HALL began only fairly.

LITTLE GENERAL began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly, bumping heavily with FAMILY LEADER (Apprentice K H Chan) which became unbalanced and shifted in, resulting in WILLIE WAY being checked.

Apprentice Chan reported that his instructions were to be positive on FAMILY LEADER with the option to lead if possible, however, due to the crowding that FAMILY LEADER incurred at the start, he was not able to comply with his instructions with the horse eventually settling in midfield.

A veterinary inspection of FAMILY LEADER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.

HAY RUN and KING'S MAN made contact at the start.

After being inconvenienced by ABOVE which jumped in at the start, HAPPY ROCKY was shifted across behind runners.

From wide barriers, KING'S MAN and GARLIC YEAH were also shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

From the 400 Metres to the 300 Metres, LONDON HALL was held up when unable to proceed into a narrow run between ABOVE and C P POWER.

After passing the 300 Metres, LONDON HALL was directed to the outside of C P POWER when a run developed between that horse and GOD OF DRAGON which drifted out.

K Teetan (GOD OF DRAGON) dropped his whip at the 300 Metres.

When questioned, J Moreira stated that although DIONYSUS COLLIN was forced to race three wide throughout the event, he at all times had cover and the horse travelled satisfactorily through the early and middle stages.

He said however that DIONYSUS COLLIN came under heavy pressure prior to the 400 Metres and then was most disappointing in the manner in which it failed to run on in the Straight.

A veterinary inspection of DIONYSUS COLLIN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of DIONYSUS COLLIN, favourite for today's race, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, DIONYSUS COLLIN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that C P POWER was mildly lame in the right front leg.

A veterinary inspection of GARLIC YEAH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

DIONYSUS COLLIN, KING'S MAN and GOD OF DRAGON were sent for sampling.
