Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (267) - NG TUNG RIVER HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
From wide barriers, JIMSON THE DRAGON, FAIRY FLOSS and SUPERB AGILITY were all shifted across behind runners soon after the start.
After the 150 Metres, SUPERB AGILITY was shifted in abruptly to avoid the heels of BOND ELEGANCE.
After passing the 50 Metres, CAPTAIN BOSS was steadied and shifted in away from the heels of KEEP GOING.
For the majority of the race, WINNERS BROTHER and FAIRY FLOSS travelled wide and without cover.
K C Leung advised that after being ridden positively from a wide barrier, STRIKING MR C was able to take up the lead and subsequently travelled comfortably through the middle stages of the race.
He said however that STRIKING MR C came under pressure in the early part of the Straight and stayed on until near the 150 Metres, however, tired noticeably over the latter stages and was somewhat disappointing.
A veterinary inspection of STRIKING MR C immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

KWAI CHUNG ELITE, FIRE AND GOLD and WHISTLE UP were sent for sampling.

Early favourite Fire And Gold let down strongly one from the right after a patient ride third from the back to win going away 100m out. Whistle Up closed well after angling into the open 350m out travelling one off better than midfield to grab second in the dying stages. Leisured Feet grudgingly gave way after surging to the front 250m out chasing the speed one-off the fence in third. It was a sound effort following a last-start win. Posttime favourite Kwai Chung Elite finished well to nearly place after travelling three-deep with cover behind midfield despite gate four. He has been able to fill the frame in four of six starts this term. Keep Going kept on reasonably well after a midfield run on the fence. Jimson The Dragon ran on without menacing fading back from a wide gate. He's not be far off a bottom. Striking Mr C knocked up 300m out after finding the front passing the 900m. He wasn't suited by the big weight and is clearly more effective on the dirt.
