Recap by phillip woo

Plunged late, Giddy Giddy relaxed nicely after clearing to lead from a wide gate 700m out and drew clear to easily notch a second win from his past four starts. He'll find it harder up in grade but is a simple jump and run type and does handle both surfaces. Snowhooves was under the pump a long ways out but still stayed on well travelling fore of midfield to get home second best. He's returned to form in his past two over this surface and will get one more chance to salute over this surface and trip next month or wait until next season. Rainbow Gold closed off nicely after travelling fourth from the rear to grab a placing. It was another nice run on this surface after bleeding from his trachea in a mile failure in March. If he pulls up well, he'll be saluting shortly up to a mile. Soccer Brave just got the bob down to finish a distant fourth despite a prominent run on the fence. He's on his mark. Starry Starlies came on nicely down the outside after travelling second from the rear to miss fourth by a bob of heads in a nice first run after a stable change but he's running out of time to save his career. Favourite Fortune Brothers found next to nothing following a box-seat run. He'll need more time and experience. Invisible ran on late but need to catch him on the turf over the same distance.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (662)-CAMELLIA HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Metres

Whilst in the saddling stalls, FAST ROCKET had its right front plate refitted.

FAST ROCKET was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.

After beginning awkwardly, HELLO KIMBERLEY lost ground soon after the start when buffeted for room between WINNER ST PAUL'S which was taken out by WINNINGLI and STARRY STARLIES which shifted in marginally.

RAINBOW GOLD began awkwardly.

WINNINGLI lost its left front plate in the early stages.

Approaching the first turn near the 800 Metres, WINNINGLI, which was inclined to lay in, was steadied away from the heels of GIDDY GIDDY which shifted in.

WINNINGLI continued to lay in throughout the middle stages and at the 500 Metres shifted in and hampered FORTUNE BROTHERS (J Moreira) which bumped the running rail.

J Moreira reported that after making contact with the running rail, FORTUNE BROTHERS came under pressure and failed to respond to his riding thereafter.

A veterinary inspection of FORTUNE BROTHERS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After passing the 200 Metres, WINNER ST PAUL'S was inconvenienced by FORTUNE BROTHERS which shifted in under pressure.

In this incident, Apprentice M F Poon, the rider of WINNER ST PAUL'S, dropped his right rein.

A veterinary inspection of LE PEGASE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

FORTUNE BROTHERS, GIDDY GIDDY and SNOWHOOVES were sent for sampling.
