Racing Incident Report
Race Six: (080)-SUNBIRD HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Metres
HOXO was slow to begin.VITAL PRINCE shifted in abruptly at the start and hampered KERKENI.
From wide barriers, EXPEDITE and MEDIC SWORDSMAN were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Despite being vigorously ridden along in the early stages, JOLLY GOOD STAR failed to muster speed and after the 1000 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 800 Metres, IMPERIAL CONCORDE got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of NOBLE DE MAN.
Making the turn near the 700 Metres, HOXO was awkwardly placed inside the heels of IMPERIAL CONCORDE.
KERKENI was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight.
A veterinary inspection of UNIQUE HAPPIEST immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SURE PEACE, DASHING SUPER and CLASSIC JEWELLERY were sent for sampling.

Dashing Super drove through to lead narrowly from Addole, cornered a half-length on top and kept up a strong gallop to land a betting move with a return to the dirt. Classic Jewellery ran on nicely to grab second 200m out following a rail's run in fourth following a good jump. He lived up to some good lead-up work and might remain one to follow this season. Favourite Sure Peace closed off reasonably well five deep after a deep run with cover worse than midfield to finish a clear-cut third. Plunged late, Kerkeni came on one off the fence to grab fourth after hugging the fence in midfield. Noble De Man ran on steadily without menacing after a one-off run behind midfield. Grand Plus kept up an even gallop after travelling one off the fence in midfield. Imperial Concorde made some ground with three wider out after travelling third from the rear. Addole worked too hard to eventually slot outside the leader from a wide gate and was giving ground 200m out. Unique Happiest was only plodding over the last 200m.
