‘Upside down and burning’: Delta Air Lines plane flips on landing at Toronto airport

A Delta Air Lines plane flipped upon arrival at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport and ended up on its roof on February 17, 2025. Eighteen people were hurt, including three who suffered critical injuries. The Mitsubishi CRJ-900LR aircraft from Minneapolis was carrying 76 passengers and four crew at the time. Authorities at Pearson airport, which handles more passengers than any other Canadian airport, grounded flights for more than two hours.
