Ukraine’s Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky was among 18 people, including at least two children, who were killed when a helicopter crashed near a kindergarten outside the capital Kyiv, national police said on January 18, 2023. There were no immediate details on the cause of the crash in Brovary, located some 20km (12 miles) northeast of Kyiv. The country’s deputy minister, Yevheniy Yenin, also died in the crash.
