Satellite images have revealed the extent of the devastation wrought by the deadly earthquake that hit Turkey and neighbouring Syria on February 6, 2023. Large swathes of Turkish cities were levelled by the magnitude 7.8 quake and its aftershocks. More than 15,000 people are confirmed dead so far, making it the deadliest quake disaster in nearly 12 years.
