Many people in Hong Kong’s low-income communities have limited options for dental care. The city’s government provides some public facilities offering affordable rates for dental care. However users face a cumbersome registration system that requires patients – many elderly – to queue up for appointment slots that become available at midnight and no more than twice a week.
