At least 21 killed by Xian mudslide as China continues to be hit with heavy rain and floods

The death toll from tropical storms Doksuri and Khanun has risen to 21 in China's northwestern Shaanxi province. At least six people were still missing as of August 13, 2023, according to the provincial government. Catastrophic flooding also killed at least 33 people in the capital Beijing and 29 others were confirmed dead in neighbouring Hebei province amid severe weather that has affected nearly 4 million people.
