Deadly wildfires have wreaked havoc in the southeastern part of South Korea and southwestern Japan. The death toll in South Korea had reached 18, and about 23,000 residents were forced to evacuate as of March 26, 2025. More than 1,000 people in Japan also had to be evacuated because of the fires.
