Teacher suicide sparks protests against parent bullies in South Korea

Tens of thousands of teachers rallied in Seoul on September 4, 2023, calling for better protection after the recent death of a primary school teacher who took her life because of work pressures sparked by parent bullying. The tragedy also highlights the intense societal pressures in South Korea, where suicide has become prevalent in various parts of society.
