A shooting in New Zealand’s largest city of Auckland left at least three people dead including the gunman on July 20, 2023. The incident took place at a construction site just hours ahead of the opening match of the Fifa Women’s World Cup, which will be attended by thousands of international tourists and players. Prime Minister Chris Hipkins said the football tournament will proceed as planned.
