Two children’s bodies found in suitcases bought in an online auction in New Zealand

The two children found dead in suitcases bought at an online auction appeared to have been primary-school age, according to New Zealand police on August 18, 2022. The bodies of the victims, who have yet to be identified, were found by a family who purchased a trailer-load of items from a storage locker through an online auction. Police said the family is not connected to the homicides and "understandably distressed by the discovery".
