Vladimir Putin has extended his rule for another term after securing a landslide victory in Russia’s presidential election. Partial results showed Putin had won 88 per cent of the vote, in an election with no serious competition. In his victory speech on March 18, 2024, Putin praised China’s success on the world stage, predicting that Russia-China relations would grow stronger in the coming years.
