Brazil to regulate violent content on social media after wave of school attacks

The Brazilian government announced new curbs on social media content on April 12, in response to an assailant’s killing of four preschool children a week earlier. The newly released regulations will be targeted at violent content and users who promote or support violence against schools. Social media platforms will also be required to cooperate by sharing relevant data with the police, otherwise they will be fined or suspended.
