Venice hit by worst flood in 50 years

Severe flooding in Venice has left much of the Italian lagoon city underwater. Two people have died as the highest water levels in more than 50 years caused possible irreparable damage to the city. The flooding is a direct result of climate change, the mayor says, and will leave “a permanent mark”.
