Italy went back into a partial Covid-19 lockdown on March 15, 2021, as the country battles a third wave of coronavirus infections. Residents in almost half of the country, including Rome and Milan, were told to stay home except for work, health or emergency reasons. The new restrictions are expected to remain in place until at least April 6. They will then be further tightened from April 3-5 during the Easter holiday, when the entire country will be put under quarantine.
