Hong Kong Spartans battle brutal ‘Beast’ obstacle course at world championship

The Hong Kong Spartan team took part in the 2017 Spartan World Team Championships in California, competing against rivals from more than 20 countries around the world.

The team comprising Nicky Inge, Roy Ng and Magdalena Cvetkovic took three hours and four minutes to finish the 13-kilometre obstacle race at 2,300 metres and in freezing temperatures.

Spartan races are long obstacles courses that require competitors to run, climb, swim, throw spears, sprint up hills, crawl and swing from bars and lift heavy weights such as sandbags and buckets of gravel.
