A Sherpa teenager, who became the youngest person to scale the world’s 14 highest peaks, returned home to Nepal on October 14, 2024, to a hero’s welcome. Nima Rinji Sherpa reached the 8,027 metre (26,335ft) summit of Mount Shishapangma in Tibet the previous week. The feat completed the 18-year-old’s mission to climb all of the world’s peaks that are more than 8,000 metres high.
