Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that Beijing hopes all parties in Myanmar can properly resolve differences under a legal framework. Wang was responding to the detention of Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi on February 1, 2021, by the country’s military, which has declared a one-year state of emergency.
