Villagers in southwestern China greet Lunar New Year with traditional rice cakes and bamboo horns

Villagers in some parts of China have been preparing for the Lunar New Year in 2021 by preparing traditional food or training on traditional musical instruments. People in the Raoshang Ethnic Cultural Village in the southern province of Guizhou have been making rice cakes known as Huangshuiba for the annual holiday season. In the nation’s southwest, people in the city of Luzhou in Sichuan province have been getting ready for the Spring Festival by playing the Huahao, an ancient horn made from bamboo.
