Chinese boy, 10, is first child patient to receive 3D-printed jawbone transplant

Feng Chuanzhong, 10, is the world’s first child patient to receive a 3D-printed jawbone transplant. Feng was diagnosed with ameloblastoma, a rare kind of tumour in the lower jaw. After the removal of the tumour, his lower jaw still couldn’t function well. As he was too small for a traditional transplant, his doctor decided to use a 3D-printed jawbone.
