China has welcomed a new search for the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 that disappeared 11 years ago. Malaysia announced on February 25, 2025, plans for a resumed search by deep-sea exploration company Ocean Infinity, which carried out an unsuccessful search in 2018. The Boeing 777 aircraft bound for Beijing disappeared from radar screens two hours after it left Kuala Lumpur on March 8, 2014. The flight had 239 people on board, including more than 150 Chinese nationals.
