Two Sessions 2025 (Lianghui)

China’s top diplomat Wang Yi lays out directions for country’s foreign policies

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi answered a series of wide-ranging questions from reporters during the country’s annual “two sessions” meeting including the Ukraine war and US-China relations under the second Trump administration. This came as China faces an “increasingly complex and severe external environment”, according to this year’s government work report released on March 5, 2025. Wang emphasised that China is able to provide a source of stability in a turbulent international environment.
