Hundreds of journalists from around the world have come to Beijing to cover the annual meeting of the National People’s Congress (NPC). The opening day is always an early wake-up call for journalists, as they must line up well before sunrise in order to be the first to get their hands on the government work report and the best spot to cover the premier’s presentation.
