Chinese President Xi Jinping could stay on beyond 2023 amid move to scrap presidential term limit

Chinese President Xi Jinping could remain the country’s top leader beyond the end of his term in 2023 after the ruling Communist Party proposed to remove the constitutional restriction on the maximum number of terms the president and vice-president can serve.
