At least 10 people have been killed after Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki erupted on November 4, 2024. Indonesia’s National Disaster Management Agency also said the eruption forced thousands of residents around the Eastern Flores regency to evacuate. Rescuers have been searching for survivors as the volcano hurled burning rocks and lava on nearby homes. Local reports said the volcano, which was last active in January, began erupting again in late October.
