Bangladesh’s chief justice and central bank chief have reportedly resigned after anti-corruption student protesters marched to the Supreme Court in the capital Dhaka on August 10, 2024. The resignations came as student protests, which ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from office, widened to target officials appointed by her. Amid the government shake-up, Muslims in the country expressed optimism about the country’s future.
