Nepal’s newest China-built airport opens

The China-built Pokhara International Airport, the 3rd international airport in Nepal, was put into operation on January 1, 2023 in the country’s second largest city. The Pokhara airport was built by a Chinese company with loans from China. The project is seen as a “key project” for the Belt and Road Initiative, according to a Chinese official.
