Netflix Squid Game honeycomb toffee-maker sees business boom after South Korean series tops charts

A Seoul couple who make Korean honeycomb sweets known as Dalgona candy have seen business boom after their treats were featured in an episode of the smash hit series Squid Game. The appearance of the popular Korean children’s treat in the show gave many of its viewers a taste of nostalgia. The hit show premiered on streaming giant Netflix on September 17, 2021, and has since topped charts in more than 80 countries.
