A gunman shot dead 14 people at Charles University in Prague on December 21, 2023. in one of the worst mass shootings in the history of the Czech Republic. Local authorities said the 24-year-old student injured dozens of others before killing himself. Police suspect the gunman is also behind the death of his father, whose body was found in a village near the city.
