Archaeologists in Georgia discover human tooth from 1.8 million years ago

Archaeologists have found a 1.8-million-year-old tooth in Orozmani, around 100km (62 miles) southwest of the Georgian capital, Tbilisi. The team announced the discovery on September 8, 2022. It was excavated only 20km (12 miles) from a site where two ancient human skulls, believed to be from the same time period, were discovered in the late 1990s and the early 2000s.
