Chinese diaspora fights coronavirus discrimination in the US

A group of people started a “free hugs” campaign in New York to raise awareness about coronavirus-related discrimination faced by the Chinese diaspora in the United States. Many people warmly welcomed the campaign in an area near Times Square, where the group of about 10 people held up placards reading, “I’m a Chinese. Not a virus” and other messages.
