Hyrox is the fastest-growing sport in the world, including in Hong Kong where the city is hosting its fourth competition on November 22-24, 2024. The races which involve 8km (5 miles) of running paired with eight different functional exercises, have seen exponential growth since the first Hyrox event was held in 2018. About 6,500 people have registered to compete in Hong Kong, where the sport’s growing popularity has given rise to new opportunities in the fitness sector. Freelance personal trainers and gyms have designed Hyrox-specific training programmes to help participants prepare for the race.
