Jimmy O. Yang has found success in the US entertainment industry, but he hasn’t forgotten his roots. He was born in Hong Kong and lived there until he was 13 before emigrating to the US, growing up in the Los Angeles area. O. Yang is back in Hong Kong to perform his first stand-up comedy shows in Asia. Tickets sold out almost instantly, so he added more shows, but it’s still not enough to meet demand. In a wide-ranging interview, O. Yang sat down with the Post’s Mabel Lui to talk about Hong Kong, the challenges of being Asian in Hollywood and changes in recent years that have allowed him and other Asian entertainers to reach new heights of success.
