Two giant pandas gifted by Beijing arrived in Hong Kong to a warm welcome on September 26, 2024. An An and Ke Ke were moved to the Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures exhibit at Ocean Park, which is already home to pandas Ying Ying and Le Le. The resident couple, who recently produced twin cubs, were also gifts to the city from mainland China. The new bears are expected to be able to greet the public in mid-December, but must first go through quarantine and be allowed time to adjust to their new environment.
